Smart Wire - Hard Wired Solution
SmartWire Nurse Call is a dynamic hard-wired communications platform that allows for simplicity in the design, installation, maintenance and modification of the the system. These benifits arise from the use of a communication bus, which can be either looped from point to point throughout an installation, linking all major components of the system. A single cable carries all the information required to display the condition of every call point, status indicator or alarm connected to the system.

SmartLine - Wireless Solution
The SmartLine Wireless interface system is capable of handling all of SmartLink's Wireless Devices and connects directly to any one of SmartLink's Monitoring Software package SmartWatch XP

When a wireless device is activated the alarm is reported directly to the monitoring software via a standard serial port which in turn can send a message to a recipient in several forms and protocols including pagers, SMS, DECT, remote displays and even e-mail.

Wireless Device Compatibly SmartLine can handle a range of wireless devices including:

Call Points (Wireless Nurse Call)
Radio Keys (Wrist Watch, Neck Chain & Wall Mount)
Emergency Pendants/Radio Keys
Man Down Pendants/Radio Keys

Passive Infra-Red (PIR) Detectors
Door Reeds

Extendable Wireless Coverage
The SmartLine system can also be extended by the use of Extended Receiver Boards (part no. 100-GRX). A simple 4 wire bus provides a means to extend coverage of SmartLink's wide range of wireless devices. For more information consult the installation manual.

Alarm Reporting
SmartLine Wireless will report alarms directly to any of SmartLink's Monitoring Software packages via a standard serial port and uses the same polling protocol as a Linecard Receiver (SCU) making it fully compatible with existing SmartLink systems.
